Castro Valley Junior Team Tennis League is for players of all levels ages 9 and older
Summer Season Information Coming Soon!
USTA Junior Team Tennis League is returning to Castro Valley! Come to the info meeting to see how much fun team tennis can be! This is a team experience for girls and boys, age 9 and older. We meet every Sunday from (probably) from June 23 to August 11 from 3:00 – 4:30 (with the exception of 7/14).
USTA Jr. Team Tennis is a national youth tennis league played in all 50 states. It’s not about the individual. USTA Jr. Team Tennis is all about—building your game while building a team.
Kids get together to play singles, doubles, and mixed doubles against other teams. It promotes values you would expect from any sport by fostering a spirit of cooperation, unity and individual self-growth. Also, it’s a fun environment for kids where they learn that succeeding is really more about how you play the game – win or lose.
The $90 registration fee includes eight weeks of league play, a USTA Team Tennis T-Shirt, wristband, bag tags, certificates and awards. If you aren’t a current member, the fee is an additional $20.
Bring your questions on Sunday, 6/9 at 3:00 pm. A representative from the United States Tennis Association will be at the meeting to answer them and help with online league registration and USTA annual membership.

I want to invite your child to the Castro Valley Junior Tennis League. We play on eight Sunday afternoons in the fall and spring. With tennis racquets, balls and courts that are sized right, and play that is appropriate, kids build confidence, improve their skills and stay active.
Players participate at their level against opponents of similar skills. The emphasis is placed on:
- Participation
- Effort
- Sportsmanship
This low key competition is organized in a format to allow children to play again and again, whether they win or lose. Matches are short in duration, players are grouped by ability and game modifications allow each child to experience success. The kids play multiple matches both with and against a variety of players; serving, rally and scoring over a net.
